The Educational Courses will take place on Tuesday, March 12th from 9.00 to 13.00.
Participation is free, but a pre-registration will still be required.

Leptis Magna 1 Room

This educational course will try to offer electrophysiological basis of main cardiomiopathies affecting chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. First session will be focused on standard ECG chart; second session will be addressed on main ECG abnormalities (cardiac arrhythmias, ischemic cardiopathy, electrolytic disorders. Finally, tutors and delegates will discuss several ECG charts.

Tarragona Room

Blood gas evaluation is crucial in CKD patients management, especially in end – stage renal disease (ESRD) patients on hemodialysis treatment. At the same time, electrolytes imbalancement’s analysis is quite important in patients with normal renal function showing blood gas imbalancement. Finally, sevaral clinical cases will be discussed between tutors and delegates.

Cesarea Room

Correct management of central venous catheters represent one of the main issues for nephrologists’ clinical practice, especially in those patients with acute kidney injury requiring immediate tretament. On the other side, it’s also crucial correct management of artero – venous fistula (AVF) for chronic hemodialysis patients. This educational course will be mainly directed to clinicians involved in vascular access management and delegates may get practice with the help of ultrasound devices and dedicated dummies.

Thugga Room

Correct interpretation  of scientific papers and database are crucial to translate experimental data into daily practice. This educational course will retake the basis of statistics and discuss some clinical trials in cardionephrology mainly  focusing on methodology and reliability.
